workplace photos: as much fun as career day.

See where an actual professional chef works. And also, see where an actual professional whatever-my-title-is works.

Me first, though. Because going after Sal is just anti-climactic.

I work for a company called Northwest Community Management. The short explanation is that we manage homeowners' associations. But to actually understand what that means, you should visit the NWCM website.

Anyway, this is where I work.  We moved into these new offices in November 2005 and you can see pictures from the move on the NWCM website. And as you can see, my office has a wall of windows with a view of enormous evergreens. Hard to have a bad day with a view like that.

Chef Salvatore's made the jump to another bakery, called LiLi Patisserie. They don't have a website (what is it with these culinary people?!?) but we'll have pictures posted soon. In the meantime, check out a couple of reviews here and here.

And they don't serve just pastries and baked goods, but also breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Little tip? If you happen to make it there for a breakfast sometime, treat yourself to the biscuits and gravy -- completely unlike any biscuits and gravy you've ever had. Ever. Trust me on that.
