read about the trip
We're not big on heat,
which is one of the many reasons we love the Pacific Northwest in general
and Portland in particular. The vast majority of the time, it's fabulously
temperate and despite what everyone says, has plenty of sunshine. But no
place is immune from the occasional heat wave, not even the Eden that we
call home.
Sixty miles east or west,
though, and you're back in familiar temperatures, whether it's the
Cascades to the east or the Oregon Coast to the west. Our preference is
for the ocean most of the time, so we headed west. Into 65º
temps and a dramatic fogbank out on the water.
The Pacific Ocean never
disappoints.
