read about the trip

It had been 15+ years since either of us had last visited Arizona and considering we both have a lot of family there, that was nothing short of scandalous. We spent the first part of our vacation with Sal's family (the Benedetto side), the second half with my family (the Slaybaugh) side. But really? They're all our family.

the grand canyon

This was only the second time either of us had ever been to the Grand Canyon, and the first time we'd ever been to the North Rim. There were so many beautiful vantage points with breathtaking views that we just spent the day with Dad and Malinda driving all over the rim and snapping pictures. And of course, the requisite sunset picture, which is, as you can see, just beautiful.
