When Sal was still in culinary school, we made the trip to Orcas Island to scope out a possible internship at the Rosario Resort. It meant passing through Seattle for the first time and we also took the opportunity to jet up to Bellingham, which is one of our "dream" places to live. (Note that this was in our pre-digital camera days; our camera took great pictures, but a lot of their beauty was lost in the scanning, unfortunately.)
