05.01.05 shooter's choice weekend

Our very dear friends, Wendy & Lee, got married today. These were the party favors.

05.02.05 shooting assignment: "emerald"

In honor of H's b-day. But since I couldn't find any emeralds laying about, I opted for a more oblique reference instead. This was a Christmas present from Sal, who said, "since I couldn't take you to Ireland, I brought it to you".

05.03.05 shooter's choice weekday

Sal and I got these Celtic zodiac pendants not long after we moved here. My Celtic month is "Luis".

05.04.05 shooter's choice weekday

On my way to work this morning, looking through the windshield. I love it here.

05.05.05 shooter's choice weekday

From the special advance screening of Serenity, thanks to H, who scored tix for us last week. Joss bless us, every one.

05.06.05 shooter's choice weekday

Looking into the kitchen. I love the way the light falls in this room.

05.07.05 shooter's choice weekend

My better half and fun with photo software.

05.08.05 shooter's choice weekend

The view from the 4th floor offices of OregonLive.com, for whom I will now be blogging on home improvement. Which is hilarious on many levels.

05.09.05 shooter's choice weekday

I had a chance to take a bunch of pictures at Crema so it'll be a common subject this week.

05.10.05 shooter's choice weekday

The sculpture on the front of the front of the bakery.

05.11.05 shooter's choice weekday

This is a little window on the side of the St. Johns Pub, which we visit frequently.

05.12.05 shooter's choice weekday

While we were picking up Sal's dad from the airport, I took a moment to snap a pic of the beautiful walkway cover that's a distinctive part of the Portland International Airport.

05.13.05 shooter's choice weekday

The front door of Crema, with a view inside and a reflection of the street behind it.

05.14.05 shooter's choice weekday

This is the side of the building next to Skidmore Fountain and the Burnside Bridge.

05.15.05 shooter's choice weekday

Green darkness in Forest Park.

05.16.05 shooter's choice weekday

Another flower from our rockery. Amazing what Nature accomplishes when left to her own devices.

05.17.05 shooter's choice weekday

Looking down Morrison in downtown Portland, taken from the Galleria Skybridge.

05.18.05 shooter's choice weekday

Sal and his dad at Arcadia Beach.

05.19.05 shooter's choice weekday

Arcadia Beach view from the trees.

05.20.05 shooter's choice weekday

Multnomah Falls on a beautiful misty day.

05.21.05 shooter's choice weekend

Hippo Hardware is one of our favorite haunts.

05.22.05 shooter's choice weekend

Taken during our trip to Arcadia Beach and the Oregon Coast earlier in the week. I love the little tangle of hair at the top.

05.23.05 shooter's choice weekday

The awesome house numbers cabinet at Hippo Hardware.

05.24.05 shooter's choice weekday

The exceedingly charming hamlet of Oceanside, Oregon. We hope to have a very small house here someday for weekends at the beach.

05.25.05 shooter's choice weekday

Reflection of the sky in water-soaked sand.

05.26.05 shooter's choice weekday

One of Oregon's most (in)famous natives, taken at Multnomah Falls.

05.27.05 shooter's choice weekday

The lighting department at Hippo Hardware.

05.28.05 shooter's choice weekend

Nehalem Bay taken from Neahkahnie Mountain, along the Pacific Coast Highway.

05.29.05 shooter's choice weekend

This is Hobbes, who fell asleep across the messy pile that bridges our desks. It's his chosen napping spot when we're home, which is why the mess never gets cleaned up.

05.30.05 shooter's choice weekday

Taken along a pathway at the Oregon Gardens. Pictures of the gardens themselves to come.

05.31.05 shooter's choice weekday

Sunlight through the trees on a walk with a friend.
